Internship Activity Report at Ecohoy

The Name - “EcoHoy” is formed from two words – Eco and Hoy. Hoy in English is used to attract someone’s attention (Recall the Pirates “Ahoy!”) and in Spanish it means “Today”. With an intent and philosophy to strive to divert people’s attention to the environment and aim to catalyse change, not tomorrow but today and beginning now.Ecohoy is a start-up dedicated to the Environment and incorporated in India with the vision to promote/market products and services that aid towards protecting the environment. Through its website it markets (to individuals &organisations) more than 10,000 products across categories that have a low carbon footprint and are eco-friendly. It is also into consulting businesses on how to incorporate low carbon or green activities in their day to day operations. Ecohoy is a government recognized start-up and has been featured as Top 10 start-ups in 2019 by Sillicon India Magazine.
Details & Structure of Internship Program with IIS University, Jaipur
Ecohoy has designed a customised part time internship program in discussion with the management of IIS, University for their students. Details and structure of the program is as under:
The program is designed to enable students to work full time and part time from the campus. The internship will commence from December, 2019 and conclude in May, 2020. The students will be working full time in the month of December 2019 and working par time thereafter.
IIS University has assign academic mentors to the selected 7 students selected to guide them during the course of this Internship.

“Our experience at Ecohoy has been very nice till now. The Team here has provided us the exact atmosphere as we wanted- full of opportunities to explore and grow. They did not look down upon us as an intern. The atmosphere is very friendly and learning and conducive. Ecohoy helped us design portfolio according to our capabilities and strengths. It pushes us to go one step closer to realizing our potential by giving us new challenges everyday. The internship at Ecohoy has taught us Teamwork, Creative Thinking, Time Management and meeting deadlines . Working as an interns here is also developing entrepreneurial skill in us . We feel , by the end of these six months, we will be a better individuals.We have become eager to know and learn new things. How to work within a team was taught to all of us by Mr. Aayush Sharma (Founder of Ecohoy). We got to learn positive attitude from our team members. All the teams members are treated equally at the workspace. We also realized that’s social media is a major tool for attracting customers. Internship at Ecohoy induced eco consciousness in us.”

The internship at Ecohoy has benefitted the students from various courses of IIS University by creating an awareness towards the environment and providing eco friendly lifestyle with sustainable products.
At professional front, students have been benefitted with time management, meeting deadlines, working with teams and most importantly discipline.These aspects will not only groom the students to develop their personality but also contribute and help them in shouldering future responsibilities as an aware and responsible citizens.
It has given a wide interface for students to deal with various manufacturers, vendors and customers.
Objective
The objective has been to promote the concepts of energy efficiency to provide eco friendly lifestyle and sustainable products, processes and concepts for individuals, institutions and organizations by interfacing between manufacturers, vendors and customers.
