Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity: To familiarize the students and faculty with the mission of IIC and to acquaint them with the activities conducted by the IIC-IISU and the incubation centre

Report: The orientation session was organised by the IIC- IISU on 5/12/2020, 9/12/2020, 19/12/2020 between 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The aim of the session was to orient the students and faculty with the aims and objectives of the Institute’s Innovation Council. The resource person of the session was Dr. Anju Singh, Innovation Ambassador, IIC- IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. The session shared the information about the mandate of MIC which has launched the Institute's Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the creative energy of our student population as well as to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up/entrepreneurial ecosystem in educational institutions.Dr. Anju Singh threw light that the prime objective of IIC is to engage a large number of faculty and staff, and encourage, inspire, and nurture young students in various innovation and enterpreneurship-relaed activities such as ideation, problem-solving, proof of concept development, design thinking, IPR, project handling and management at pre-incubating/incubation stage, etc., so that innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem gets established and stabilized in HEI. Success activities conducted in the last session by IIC- IISU in the last session were also shared. The success stories of student start-ups of the university were also shared with the students and faculties. The session finally ended with the Question and Answer round and both the experts resolved various Queries Outcome:By attending this session the participants were able gain an understanding of the aim of IIC. The students and faculties were also motivated to be participate in the activities of the IISU-IIC. Those willing to become and entrepreneur were able to recognize the efforts and initiatives taken by the university for fostering and nurturing innovation.
