Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity: The aim of the session was to orient the students regarding the National Innovation and Start Up Policy of the Ministry of Education.The session apprised the students about the innovation and start up ecosystem on campus.

Report: The orientation session was organised by the IIC- IISU on 22 December, 2020between 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The aim of the session was to orient the students and faculty with the aims and objectives of the National Innovation and Start Up Policy. The resource person of the session was Dr.Roopam Kothari, Innovation Ambassador, IIC- IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. The session focused on IISU’s strategies and governance for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. This was followed by a brief discussion on norms for faculty and student startups. The session was then continued with the discussion on pre incubation and incubation support available at IISU for the startups. Dr. Kothari also apprised students with the activities undertaken in past two years to promote the campus start up and innovation activities at the campus.

Outcome: By attending this session the participants were able gain an understanding of the National Innovation &Startup Policy. The students and faculties were also motivated to be participate in the activities of the IISU-IIC. Session aimed at making the students aware about the efforts and initiatives taken by the university for fostering and nurturing innovation.
