Objective: To know about “Role of network Enablers in driving I & E in HEI’s”.
Benefit in terms of learning/Skill/Knowledge obtained:
We learnt about TiE and its role in developing entrepreneurs and its evolution. We also come to know that how TiE provide mentoring, networking, knowledge sharing, education, incubation and funding to young Entrepreneurs. Besides this we also come to know about various programs run by TiE to help startups.
Overall report of the activity:
In this wonderful session, in the beginning Ms. Geetika Dayal told about TiE, its role in developing entrepreneurs and its evolution. She said that after its inception in Silicon Valley in America in 1992, this initiative spread to other parts of America and later on came to India.
She said that philosophy of TiE is to build a successful entrepreneur which creates multiple job opportunities and results in wealth creation, value creation and economic development of nation. She said that TiE provide mentoring, networking, knowledge sharing, education, incubation and funding.
She said that basic role of TiE is to identify and nurture start-ups. To help start-ups TiE has various programs throughout the year such as startup expo, Tiecon or TiE global summit, India internet day, Food summit, Travel summit, HR summit and many others.
She told about Institutional model of TiE and discussed their lockdown strategies.
She said that every individual need an ecosystem for development. TiE helps in creating this ecosystem which consists of investors, institutions and network enablers.
She told that Tie has a plan to start boot camp for students and FDP for faculties with entrepreneurial mind set where student and teachers both can enhance their knowledge through webinars.
In the end she said that sprit of entrepreneur and their out of box thinking can save us in this difficult situation.
