Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity: The objective of the workshop was to provide a comprehensive exposure to the students towards Social Entrepreneurship .

Social Enterprenuership, Swachta and Rural Engagement Cell, IIS(deemed to be University) organized an online workshop on "Social Entrepreneurship for Higher Educational Institutions “ on 19 October 2020. Resource person of the workshop was Ritika kumari from Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE).95 students participated in the workshop. At the commencement of workshop Dr.Roopam Kothari, Coordinator ,Social Enterprenuership, Swachta and Rural Engagement Cell, IIS(deemed to be University)welcomed Ritika Kumari, participant students and coordinators of various committees under Social Entrepreneurship, Swachta and Rural Engagement Cell, IIS(deemed to be University) in the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to provide a comprehensive exposure to the students towards Social Entrepreneurship .The key points of the workshop was to make the participants understand the vision of SESREC ,to promote Social Entrepreneurship and to share examples and case studies in SESREC. Students were also informed about National level Business Plan Competition and were motivated to participate. In the workshop Ritika Kumari discussed about the meaning of social entrepreneurship, need for social entrepreneurs ,models of social entrepreneurship, scope of social entrepreneurs in agriculture sector, livelihood, education, health and waste management. Participants were also made aware, that how as a student they can contribute in solving a social problem through their innovative idea and how they can convert a problem into an opportunity. Workshop ended with a question answer session. Students put up their queries and Ritika Kumari very patiently answered all the queries. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Roopam Kothari
Outcome: Students gained comprehensive exposure towards the scope of social entrepreneurship. Students learned through live examples about the avenues of social entrepreneurship.
