Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity:
The session objective was to acquaint students with innovative emerging trends in supply chain management and process of integrating supply and demand using latest technology.

Overall Report of the activity:
The Discipline of Business Studies, IIS (deemed to be University) in collaboration with IIC organised a Webinar on ‘Supply Chain Management - Restructuring of FMCG Industry’ on Saturday, Feb 5, 2022 for the students of undergraduate and post graduate courses.
The resource person for the Webinar was Ms Snigdha Agarwal, Sr Manager – Demand Planning, Nivea India. The guest had a vast corporate experience of working in the logistics department of big wigs of the FMCG industry like GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson and Nivea India.
The talk highlighted the process of integrating supply and demand using latest technology. She also made the students aware about the role of data analytics and digitization in bringing huge advances in the field of Supply Chain Management. She opined that the is moving towards a specialized, data driven, cost-effective, adaptable and sustainable industry.
She made the students understand the whole concept of integrating demand and supply in the fourth largest industry of the Indian economy, FMCG industry using the latest technology that has brought in efficiency. She also highlighted how the FMCG industry was impacted with the COVID pandemic.
The session was highly interactive and insightful. The session was conducted on Zoom Platform.

Outcome: The webinar highlighted the importance of data analytics and digitization in the field of supply chain and helped students understand the process of integrating supply and demand using latest technology.
