Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity: The objective of the session was to make the students aware about entrepreneurship, to apprise the participants with the scope ofentrepreneurship and to give the insights about the journey of one’s entrepreneurship life.
Overall Report of the activity: The Incubation Center, IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur in association with TiE Rajasthan organized ‘empowHER- a TiE University Connect Initiative’ on 18th september 2020. The aim behind this programme was to foster women entrepreneurship by kindling entrepreneurial skills and provide valuable information about the various dimensions from idea generation to business growth to investor linkages.
At the onset, Dr. Ashok Gupta, Hon’ble Chancellor, IIS(deemed to be University) delivered the welcome address. The Speakers for the session were Ms Dharti Arvind Desai, President Tie, New York and Vice-Chair, Tie Women; Ms. SheenuJhawar, Chapter Lead, Tie Women Rajasthan , Director, Apex Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. And Founder, Ace Vision Health Consultants Pvt. Ltd. And Ms. Priyanka Garg, Founder, Maaesa Creatives and Runner-up, TiE Women Rajasthan.
The whole session was very enriching and enlightening. The panel took up various issues.
They also shared with the audience their decision and consecutive journey of becoming an entrepreneur, their ideas and perceptions on entrepreneurship evolving with the times. They also shared their uphill battles that they faced during their journey and how they overcame them.
The experts also talked about success as well as failures and the best strategy to deal with the same. They also discussed the importance of creativity in the context of entrepreneurship and how it should be cultivated.
The panel had advice for upcoming entrepreneurs as to howthey should gauge the ecosystem, specially to the budding women entrepreneurs in rural and tier 2-3 cities of Rajasthan.
To inculcate this skill in youngsters the scope of integrating entrepreneurship with education so as to develop entrepreneurial competency at school level was also discussed. . Could you share your insights on this aspect?
Lastly the panel shared their insight towards the ray of hope for budding entrepreneurs that they see in the present times of extreme disruptions, uncertainty and unpredictability. They also shared the future of the market and sectors where they can seek opportunities in the present scenario. The whole session was very interactive. The participants had put forward many interesting questions, and the guests patiently replied to each one of them. It was indeed a very enlightening and insightful session which was live streamed on the youtube channel of the university and was attended by almost 200 budding entrepreneurs.
