Visit to Bhamashah Techno Hub

The start- up cell of the IIS Institute’s Innovation Council organised a visit to Bhamashah Techno Hub, Jhalana Gram, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur was organized for students of IIS (deemed to be University). The main objective of the insightful visit was to make students aware about how various activities related to startup incubation, venture capital funding and other related fields are carried out inside this technology hub and to enlighten them about a platform like this, which assists brilliant young entrepreneurs to bring their ideas into action.18 students visited the techno hub accompanied by Dr. Anju Singh and Dr. Shivi Saxena. After reaching there, the students were guided by Mr. Gagandeep Kang oriented the students about the working of the istart incubator centre and the techno hub an initiative by the Government of Rajasthan. BhamashahTechno Hub is one of India’s largest business startup hubs. The incubator provides end-to-end support to startups, ranging from infrastructure technology, angel funding, access to venture capitalists, mentorship, exposure to national and international organizations and experts and much more. At present, 2000 startups are registered with Bhamashah Techno Hub
The presentation also briefed the students about the various initiatives taken up by the Rajasthan government for helping young entrepreneurs with their startups. Furthermore, it also gave an insight on the fiscal incentives avalible for the enterpreneurs. Some of them include, Rs. 10,000 per motnth for a year at an idea stage. Another was capital funding upto 25 lakhs through equity. Students were introduced to iStart, an initiative for startups undertaken by the Department of IT and Communication, Government of Rajasthan. It was established on 18 August, 2017. Some of the other initiatives include Startup mentoring, Startup funding, Organising Rajasthan DigiFest etc.
After the introductory presentation students had a short interactive session with Mr. Ayush of EcoHoy who introduced his startup and informed about the training programs to the students. The session was then followed by a visit to the AR/VR museum where the students got to experience and use some highly innovative technology like the Vertigo, Virtual Roller Coaster and Hand Glider, Talking frames and some other innovative games.
