The live talk by Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was enlightening and exceptional on the topic Future of Technical Education in India. It was surprisingly awesome to know about the various initiatives taken by AICTE to foster start-ups, entrepreneurship, internship, education, technical learning, artificial intelligence, robotics and various different fields where students can possess knowledge and experience apart from the classroom knowledge. Further he suggested that we should be working in multidisciplinary areas as students which led me to understand about how one should learn various skills apart from the main stream to add knowledge and experience. Sir shared about the technological facilities provided by AICTE, also the Startup Policy launched, Smart India Hackathon and internship opportunities. Eventually my doubts regarding increasing role of technology in start-ups was cleared. The resource person emphasized on project based learning because it gives the experience of the Industry and knowledge gained from these projects helps a lot more to know about the industry rather from classroom learning. Students were highly motivated after hearing the session and were keen to gain some knowledge from the Industry I want to pursue with keeping in mind the importance of technology.
