Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity: To give insight to the students on how to prepare a Business plan including sub-sessions on Writing a Business Plan, Defining the Product, Marketing Plan and Financial Aspects of Business Plan

Report: A workshop on preparing a Business plan was organised by the IIC- IISU and IISU Incubation Centre. The resource person of the session included Dr. Roopam Kothari, Dr. Anju Singh, Dr. Varsha Choudhary and Dr. Mehak Gulati Innovation Ambassador, IIC- IISU was Dr. Anju Singh, Innovation Ambassador, IIC- IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur.

Day 1: Preparing a Business Plan : on 19 ^th feb 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dr Varsha elaborated on about How to write a business plan and guided students to step by step write a business plan; The do’s and don’ts of writing a business plan were also discussed. A total of 140 students attended the session. The session was very informative and knowledgeable for the participants.

Day 2: Know your Product- Held on 20^nd feb 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The aim of the session was to acquaint with the real aspects of product evaluation, Product knowledge and what to focus on when bringing about a product in the market.

Day 3: Marketing Plan-Held on 22^nd feb 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The aim of the session was to orient the students and faculty with the marketing plan, setting up of marketing strategies focusing on the Marketing P’s

Day 4: Financial Aspects of a Business Plan- Held on 23^rd feb 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dr. Kothari explained the students about the various aspects to be considered in developing the financial plan for a business. She delivered about the feasibility analysis and the financial forecasting of a business plan.

Each session ended with the Question and Answer round where the experts resolved various Queries from the students.

Outcome: By attending this session the participants were able gain an understanding on the relevance of the preparation of a business Plan focusing on the intricacies of preparing a successful business plan. Participants learned about making an effective business plan,the session was very informative and knowledgeable for the participants.
