Structure of Fashion Market
The department of Fashion & Textiles conducted guest lecture on structure of fashion market. The resource person of the lecture is Ms. Shika Kapoor, an expert in Fashion Marketing with a 10-year industrial experience and 11-year teaching experience and is currently an Assistant Professor at Modi University, Lakshmangarh. She started with the brief introduction of Fashion Marketing. She enlightened the topics– fashion pyramids, fashion cities & trade fairs, fundamental elements of marketing, marketing mix, product concept, target audiences, importance of understanding the market, customer demands and needs. She also highlighted the marketing strategies of the prevailing brands in the market, how they “emotionally” connect with their customers and capture the market. She concluded her lecture with the topic of marketing mix today’s world. She related all the conceptual topics with general life, which made it much easier to understand. The students were then allowed to ask questions if any regarding her lecture. It was an interactive lecture and all the students enjoyed it while learning the concept.
