IIC Council, IIS (Deemed to be University), celebrated National Innovation Day on 20th Oct. 2022 during the 8th Rajasthan Science Congress on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, started from 22-22 October 2021 at IIS Shipra Path, Mansarovar, Jaipur.
The inaugural session commenced with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati sung by the students of the University. This was followed by lighting of lamp by all the dignitaries which was symbolic of destruction of the darkness and ignorance. Thereafter, Hon’ble Chancellor, IIS deemed to be University, Jaipur, Dr. Ashok Gupta, welcomed the chief guest, Ms Mugdha Sinha, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan and reiterated that "Science is paving it's way in the future”.
Ms Mugdha Sinha, chief guest, talked about the role of creativity and innovation in Science and Technology. She talked about science and time’s dynamic structure and quoted Einstein by saying that,” Change is constant but time is relevant". She talked about age of imagination which is going to began.
Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, Vice Chancellor, Marwadi University, Rajkot delivered a talk on “Education 4.0 - Redefining the Higher Education”, the NẸP (New Educational Policy). He talked about how engineering and science go hand in hand, referring his own background in engineering. He talked about how physics is important as it connects everything. He quoted, "one pill for all the ill” in his speech. He briefly told the participants about the need of changes in NEP by creativity and innovation in Science and Technology for Human Development. He emphasized that Academic Bank Credit (ABC) with potential of anytime, anywhere, any mode, any language etc. features is going to be the new approach i.e. creativity and innovation in Science and Technology for education.
Dr. P.C. Pancharia, Director CSIR – CEERI, Pilani, delivered a lecture on Biomimetic System for Food Safety Assessment in 8th Rajasthan Science Congress. He talked about green technology related solutions. He said that emerging new technology system is inspired from nature and that even Al (Artificial Intelligence) is inspired from biological intelligence of humans.
Dr. S.K. Gupta, OSD, PMO, Department of Atomic Energy, New Delhi, gave a presentation on opportunities in DAE and collaborative programs with Academic Institution changed his presentation from DAE Spin-off technologies and it's display, & Amp; Dissemination through Academic Institution for students betterment, telling them about the opportunities which are presented for them through his presentation.
He also talked about national security, water resources, health care, fuel cycle & food agriculture.
On the occasion of the National Science Day 2021, an exhibition was organised by IIC Council, IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur and students from different colleges, schools and Universities presented their creative and innovation models. The cheif guest, chancellor and speakers attended the exhibition and a penal of the experts judged the models at the end of the day.
